The fashion industry is responsible for 5-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). More and more companies are using Carbon Management Platforms to measure and create CO2 reduction plans. However, most of these solutions are generalist, so they are not tailored for a fashion brand, which requires detailed insights on the impacts of materials, manufacturing processes, or the “life cycle analysis” impact of its products.
This is why we developed Carbonfact, the only Carbon Management Platform dedicated to the textile and fashion industry. Our platform automates life-cycle assessment at the product level and carbon accounting and reporting at the company level. Equipped with Carbonfact, fashion companies model out product-level change to build their company’s broader environmental trajectory.
We raised a total of $17 million from Alven, Headline, Y Combinator and angel investors. Now, hundreds of brands and fashion groups are using Carbonfact (e.g. New Balance, Carhartt, Allbirds, Adore Me, Armedangels, Fusalp, Allbirds, Happy Socks, etc.).
Talent & People at Carbonfact
As Head of People, you will report directly to Marc Laurent (Cofounder and CEO) and will lead our efforts in talent acquisition, development, and management.

Your end goal will be the same as founders': attracting the top 0.001% of our generation and setting up the perfect work environment for them to reach their goals.
Your responsibilities include:
1) Talent Acquisition
- Design and implement a recruitment strategy to attract top international talent across all functions and from different geographies
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
- Collaborate with team leaders and the CEO to identify staffing needs and ensure a seamless hiring process
2) Talent Development & Management
- Own our existing bi-annual Performance Review process and our Leveling Framework
- Participate in the design of our compensation policy (salary and ESOP)
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on all people-related matters
3) Administrative Oversight
- Oversee all HR administrative functions (including payroll, benefits, and compliance) supported by external partners
4) Department structuration
- Setup processes and tools to structure the department as the People team grows
- Build, lead, and mentor the People team
What we’re looking for
- Master degree from a top school or university
- At least 5 years of successful experience in HR, with at least 3 years in talent acquisition, preferably in a tech startup environment
- Proven track record of talent acquisition and talent development
- Good knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Fluent in English
- Easy access to Paris

- We determine the compensation package (salary + equity) based on an internal grid which is fully transparent. At the time of hiring, we’ll determine your level based on the position, your track-record and experience. You will then be promoted to higher levels based on your performance and your impact on the company. Each level is associated with a predetermined compensation.
- For this position, we are looking for candidates with 5-8 years of experience.
